Advantages

  • Dust-protected linear axes for long service life
  • Workpiece dimensions from 1,000 x 800 x 400 to 20,000 × 3,200 × 1,500mm can be machined simultaneously all around in 5-axis mode

By means of high-speed milling tools and the minimum quantity lubrication of HG, various cut-outs, holes or pockets are milled in the profile area. In advance, the entire machine table can be adjusted using the 3D vacuum clamping systems specially developed by HG and a laser pointer attached to the machine. After the mechanical machining, a marker is included from the tool magazine and various lines are marked on the roof panels. After the HG machine, the component goes directly to final assembly, where various other operations are then carried out. The HG machine thus not only fulfils the mechanical machining, it also serves to considerably facilitate assembly in the subsequent step.
