Precise CNC machines that use the scoring process

Engineering of the highest standard: Thanks to its guaranteed absolute precision of up to 30 µm, our 6-axis CNC blade cutting machine can cut skins and films with supreme precision. This means it produces clean cuts and precise spatial contours and also effortlessly introduces invisible defined break points by scoring.

This reduction to the residual wall thickness means that in a collision the dashboard in a vehicle tears open at the precisely defined points so that the airbag can be deployed smoothly – and the safety of passengers is also ensured. With its high-resolution camera system, different cutting units and state-of-the-art cutting technology, the CNC blade cutting machine from HG GRIMME SysTech is an efficient high-tech development for the automotive industry.

You can achieve absolute precision with the CNC stitching machine

If you need to incorporate defined break points for airbags, we offer an outstanding CNC machine which has been developed specifically for performing stitching in the automotive industry: Our 6-axis CNC stitching machine is used to exactly replicate predefined break points – a manufacturing step that is employed in the production of airbags and in other processes. This CNC milling machine provides certainty in the production process and thus enables you to be consistently successful in the automotive industry.

Using the stitching head specifically developed at HG GRIMME SysTech, the predefined contour for the defined break point is perforated in the dashboard with a high-frequency milling spindle using a sewing machine process (stitching head). The thin skin which has been cut previously with the scoring machine is then placed on the dashboard.

Greater reliability thanks to traceable process data

We cooperate with leading manufacturers such as Siemens, NUM, Keyence and Renishaw. A perfect combination of hardware and software allows the process data of the individual components that pass through the process to be traced at any time. As a manufacturer working in the automotive industry, you face many challenges. From the smallest interior part made from aluminium-coated plastic to machining dashboards from foams or real leather through to a large outer shell component made from composite materials for use in electric mobility. Our CNC machining centres are developed to provide precise results for all materials. Even roof components with a sandwich design for buses, wall covering elements for trucks, or bumpers for cars are processed on our CNC machines. Once they have been assembled, the machines are thoroughly inspected while milling over the tabletops or strips, and while producing sockets and threads as requested by the customer and following a series of other tests.
